In order to enhance our services, we are opening regional hubs in selected areas around the country, Laboratory at the Head Office and we are seeking to employ for the following position: -
- FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICER-CHOMA HUB
Reporting relationship: To the Assistant Hub Manager
Job Purpose
Perform all Finance and administrative duties at the Regional Hub.
Main Responsibilities of the Job
- Manage all finance and accounting transactions at the hub
- Ensure all accounting documentation are kept safe and secure at all times
- Ensure timely Payment of utilities (Water, Electricity etc) as prescribed by Head Office
- Bank and Cash reconciliations
- Preparation of Finance reports for the branch & Periodic reporting weekly and monthly
- Safe Custody of Company Assets and maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register at the Branch
- Raising Payment vouchers, verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements
- Ensuring that petty cash is reconciled before close of business everyday
- Ensure that only approved payments in line with laid down procedures are made
- Responsible for all related duties necessary in operating the Accounting Department of the Hub
- Other duties that may be assigned to by the Assistant Hub manager and Finance Manager at Head Office Finance Department
Qualifications, experience and competences
- ·ZICA II or ACCA II or CIMA II or Bachelor of Accountancy Degree
- ·Minimum of 2 years working experience, preferably in the public health sector
- ·Proficient in MS Office applications
- ·Knowledge of ACCPAC will be an added advantage

- SENIOR LABORATORY ANALYST
Reporting Relationship: - To the Laboratory Manager
Main Purpose of the Job
To provide technical expertise, prioritization and co-ordination of day-to-day laboratory analytical testing tasks.
Job Responsibilities
- Determine physical and chemical properties of pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical related products by use of HPLC, FTIR, UV and various wet chemistry techniques, following standard test procedures with the highest degree of accuracy and safety.
- Supervise assembly and recording of test data, evaluate correctness of data, and prepare summary technical/test reports and QC charts and graphs in a timely manner.
- Prepare and standardize chemical reagents and solutions and perform laboratory equipment calibrations and keep a record of all these activities.
- Supervise laboratory analysts to ensure that tests are conducted in compliance with approved practices and procedures and fully implement GMP (SOPs, safety regulations).
- Participate in the various Correlation programs (Inter-lab exchanges) and also in the Statistical Quality Control program.
- Conduct trouble-shooting and laboratory investigations.
- Perform periodic inventory of laboratory reagents, apparatus and equipment.
- Maintain workplace in a safe and orderly condition.
- Performs other related duties as may be assigned by supervisor either in support of company goals or for personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by Laboratory
Qualifications, experience and competences
- Bachelor of Science, Chemistry, Biomedical sciences or related discipline
- A minimum of four (4) years work experience in the pharmaceutical environment and knowledge of ISO/GMP Standards.

- LABORATORY ANALYST
Reporting Relationship: - To the Senior Laboratory Analyst
Main Purpose of the Job
The Laboratory Analyst will be responsible for carrying out physical and chemical tests on pharmaceutical and other related products.
Job Responsibilities
- Determine physical and chemical properties of pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical related products by use of HPLC, FTIR, UV and various wet chemistry techniques, following standard test procedures with the highest degree of accuracy and safety.
- Assist the Senior Analyst in chemical solution preparation and standardization, and laboratory equipment calibration, while observing GMP standards.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in good order.
- Participate in the various Correlation programs (Inter-lab exchange) and also in Statistical Quality Control program.
- Maintain workplace in a safe, healthy and orderly condition.
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned by supervisor either in support of company goals or for personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by Laboratory Manager.

- Diploma in Laboratory Science, Biomedical/Pharmaceutical sciences or related discipline
- A minimum of two (2) years work experience in the pharmaceutical environment and knowledge of ISO/GMP Standards.

- LABORATORY CLEANER
Reporting Relationship: - To the Laboratory Analyst
Main Purpose of the Job
The Laboratory Cleaner shall be responsible for general laboratory cleaning of work place and glassware as well as handling of acids and other laboratory chemicals.
Job Responsibilities
By following laid down procedures, the laboratory cleaner shall, under the overall supervision of the Laboratory Manager and with daily supervision by the Lab Analyst;
- Clean all the main laboratory sections and corridors, including sweeping and mopping of floors and removing of rubbish/debris.
- Operate the Lab apparatus washer/drier to wash and dry each piece of glassware effectively.
- Maintain each piece of glassware by properly storing the glassware for future use
- Clean all windows at specified intervals
- Clean and sanitize the bathroom and hand wash basins.
- Cleaning all office spaces for the Laboratory Department on a daily basis.
- Removing and wash all cups, plates and used dishes from offices on a daily basis.
- Assist in dispatching of correspondence to relevant sections.
- Perform any other duties as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications, experience and competences
- ·Grade twelve (12) certificate
- ·Must have two(2) years work experience in a Pharmaceutical testing laboratory
